Hello Spartans,

   I look forward to my 9th year teaching Social Studies at Somerset College Prep and 12th as a teacher. My college background includes earning a BA in History and an MA in Social Science Education.

  Social Studies has been my passion since my grandpa got me interested in World War 2 when I was 5 years old. My particular interests in the field are: economics, US history, Roman history, Napoleon, World Wars 1 & 2, general military history, and politics. 

   Learning is a lifelong journey and it is important to continually further your knowledge and challenge yourself. As a teacher, I believe the social studies are much more than just memorizing facts and events, but critically thinking about what you learn through debate, discussion, research, reading, and writing. One should then be able to use these skills to better understand society and make better decisions towards leading a happier, more fulfilling life.
